Jaipur...
Surrounded aesthetically by the
Aravalli hills and Deserts is the city
Jaipur—popularly known as the Pink City Jaipur. It
is the city of historic monuments, temples, arts &
architecture, town planning, regal splendour, and
cultural heritage.
The founder of Jaipur, King Sawai
Jai Singh was not only a monark but also a poet and
an astronomer. He created this city with the help of
the Designer-Architect Vidyadhar on the basis of
‘Shilpa Shastra’--- the ancient Indian treatise on
architecture. The city is divided in nine rectangular
blocks called Chokris, and each block has wide and
straight avenues, roads, streets & lanes, with rows
of big and varied shops on both sides. The reddish
and pinkish colours of the bulk of the walls and
windows give it the name Pink City. This planned
city presents great architectural elegance and
beauty, historic and magnificent Palaces, Temples,
Gardens, museums, etc. along with its entertaining
and enticing scenic splendours.

Hawa Mahal
Often called the signature monument of Jaipur. This
is a magnificent five-storeyed building
Having an impressive fifty-feet high façade was
built by Poet and King Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799 AD
for the ladies of the royal household to watch
covertly the hustle-bustle, colours, etc. of
Bazaars, and also the very processes & processions
of the City without being seen by the people in
general on the streets.
There are 953 rectangular casements and each has
numerous tiny latticed windows, made immaculately
for the requisite function besides circulating
naturally fresh air continuously.This historical
monument presents the keen architectural and
aesthetic sense of the Rajputs Kings of Rajasthan
along with their gracious living and royal grandeur
& splendour. The use of red and pink sandstones
outlined with white borders and motifs, is
magnificently elegant and enthralling.

City Palace
Is a grand complex of Palaces,
Gardens, and Temples, etc. covering about
one-seventh of the area of the Jaipur city. Each
thing is imposing and impressing, showing an
impeccable blend of the traditional Rajasthani and
Mughal art & architecture. Palaces, in particular,
are historic, magnificent, immensely entertaining
and enthralling, besides proudly representing the
royal grandeur and glorious page of history. So, an
Indian Tour is rather superficial and incomplete
without having a look over these assets of immense
value. Moreover, the Chandra Mahal, one of these
palaces, is the gracious residence of the present
King of the tradition.
Govind Devji Temple
Is a sacred and numinous temple of
Lord Krishna. It is faithfully believed that no
trouble can stay near if one has the favours of it.
The idol was installed by the Rajput King Sawai Jai
Singh II as the tutelary deity bringing the same
from famous Vrindavan.
